... Stonewood Abbey was originally
constructed in 1875. This beautiful brick
structure was maintained by the German Reform Church for over 116 years.
In 1991 an erergetic and creative couple purchased
the property and began
transforming it into a small theater complex that was home to many plays
and music recitals.
The "Cornerstone Project" lasted until 2005.
At that time it was acquired by a Southern California historic restoration
and preservationist who changed the name to Stonewood Abbey.
Since then, it has been a constant work-in-progress, to
return this proud
and grand structure, to it's original style utilizing old world craftsmanship.
As you might expect, repairs and renovations
come with a high price tag.
That is why we have established the Stonewood Abbey Restoration Fund.
Necessary maintaince
includes such things as the roof, plumbing & electrical.
Your donation, large or small, is included the the general Restoration
account that allows for the continued rehabilitation of Stonewood Abbey.
